Up Close & Personal

My name is Reed Geiger and I currently attend Grand canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. I've grown up as an artist, spending time as a child painting and drawing while I lived in Seattle, WA. Allowing my childhood confusion to fuel my artistic abilities, I used art as an escape from the harsh realities I could not face. My art as a child consisted of fantasy lands, my way of creating a new place for my mind to dwell. Today, I can plainly see the world around me. Now, In it's brokeness, i desire to bring a light to the world. Sharing what joys, sorrows and sufferings real people go through.  I am heavily interested in people and their emotions. I shoot everything, but nearly all of my images include people as their main subject. 

My passion for photography began freshman year of college when I bought my Nikon D-3500 and started shooting everything I could see. Now, as a senior in my last year, I have had quite the experience. Beginning as a design student for 2.5 years and transitioning to Professional Writing in the spring of 2023. I have become deeply moved by the pain of the human condition all over the world and want nothing more then to share that for those who cannot do it themselves.
